Yield: 3 Mini Cheesecakes
(or 1 full size)
Ingredients: (Cookie Crust)
12 Oreo Cookies
1/4 cup melted Butter
1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
(Filling):
12 Pieces of Oreo Cream (removed from Oreo Cookie)
1 tbsp Godiva Hot Cocoa Powder (or regular Cocoa Powder)
1 package of Cream Cheese
2 tbsp Plain Whole Milk Yogurt (can substitute sour cream but highly recommend the tartness of yogurt)
3 Squares Dark Chocolate melted with 1-2 tbsp of Butter
1 Egg
Directions: (Cookie Crust)
1. Remove Oreo cookie cream from the inside of each oreo cookie and set aside
2.Put cookies in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin or, use a food processor and pulse together the cookies, melted butter, and granulated sugar
3.Transfer the cookie crust to a miniature tart pan (can find these on Amazon for $15.00) or a regular 9 inch spring form pan if you are making the full size version
(Filling):
4.Combine cream cheese, yogurt, hot cocoa powder and oreo cream in the food processor or hand held electric mixer
5.Melt the dark chocolate and butter in a separate bowl and add to food processor or hand held mixer
6.Add the egg
7.Fill a baking tray with 2 cups of water
8. Using a spoon or a spatula, add filling to the miniature tart pans (or regular sized spring form pan) filled with cookie crust
9.Place your tray (miniature or full size) onto the water-filled baking tray
10.Bake at 300 degrees for 35 minutes
11.Let the cheesecakes cool on the counter then transfer to the fridge to set for a minimum of one hour
